I’d like to be more approachable, not less weird. -Chloe Sevigny

Sorry I haven’t posted for a while. I’ve been pretty sick for a couple weeks. School is just starting back up and that will probably bring some regularity to a lot of things.

A track off Ghostface Killah’s newest album released in December 2010. Pretty good album, too bad it didn’t get much attention because it was released at the end of the year. In spite of that, its a pretty solid album. Good tracks and features for the most part.

This track comes from a compilation album by producer B-Doub. A lot of great featured artists on this album and this track has one of my favorite producers, Oddisee, delivering a dope verse.

I got into the duo, Tha Connection, a couple years ago and I’m always happy to see these guys making new music. This track comes off of a solo project by group member, Smoovth. I’m liking the album so far. I think what a like the most about the group is the style and voices of the rappers. Decent rhymes and a fluid delivery is what comes to mind when I think of this album. If you enjoy this track make sure to check out my favorite album of theirs, Moon Water from 2008.

Albums of the Future – Swift & Changeable

Well, I’ve been waiting to hear news about this album for a very long time but was still very surprised when new information actually surfaced about the prospective Ghostface Killah and MF DOOM collaboration album that has been “in the works” for years now. The artists have cited in the past that the album lacked the proper funding and was therefore being held up, however Nature Sounds, the label that would release the album has hinted on their twitter recently that a release date may be given soon and many are expecting it to be out later in 2010. This is music to my hears of course cuz I’m huge fans of both artists and this collab seems heaven-sent. The title hasn’t been confirmed and I’ve heard many different ones from different blogs including Swift & Changeable (which I like), GHOSTDOOM, and others. No word on who will be involved in the production either but it seems that this mysterious album may very well surface in the near future. Here’s a track featuring both DOOM and Ghost that comes off of the Danger Mouse produced album, The Mouse and the Mask. Enjoy.
